Here you'll find a collection of mostly j-rock and j-pop, though there'll also be some other genres from time to time.

Please read the rules before downloading. Thank you!

Tuesday June 9, 2009 → Mp3s rotated!

~ rayquo

1. Download one at a time, or else you'll kill Asuya's precious bandwidth.

2. No direct-linking. Or hot-linking, or anything like that. Upload to your own server, s'il vous plait. See previous rule for explanation.

3. Please do not steal the layout or images, or Asuya just might have to cut you.

4. Delete the mp3s after 48 hours. They're for sampling purposes only.

5. Support the artist. It really is worth saving up to buy that long-coveted single or album. Trust us, we know.

6. This isn't really required, but we'd like it if you would be so kind as to tag the tagboard if you download a song. We like feedback and comments.

7. To play these mp3s, you'll need Winzip, or another file-extracting program.

8. If you would like to exchange links/affliate with Kamiuta, please be nice and write an email to us about it. Don't post a quick request on the tagboard. It's just not polite.

Title: Greening
Artist: Sato Naoyuki (Nekomata Master)
Description: In celebratory congratulations of Sato Naoyuki's first album Rain Drops! I love his music; I'm glad he was finally able to release his own album. Greening, remastered from "Ima-sama no ryokka-undou" is in traditional Nekomata style: techno base with tribal/Celtic feel. Catchy bassline as always, with liberal use of different instruments to add a human feel to what otherwise would be a pretty 'synthetic-sounding' song.

Title: Okuribito -memory-
Artist: Hisaishi Joe [Okuribito/Departures]
Description: Omg why is Hisaishi Joe such a genius ;__; This man must have a bottomless well of creativity. Hisaishi lives up to his expectations in his instrumental theme to the Oscar-winning movie of the same name, which came out last (this?) year :) A quiet, lulling and wistful melody of string orchestra, piano and solo cello. The cello is really gorgeous in this piece - more modest than a violin, but just as soulful.

Title: Kyoka suigetsu
Artist: SHIGOTONIN
Description: A mood-kayou(?) that puts a modern twist to the traditional folk song of cheesy electric guitar, sax and synth bass. What sounds like a koto in the background adds the more olden-times Japanese feel. I think there are two voices singing, and both sound younger and more "pop" than what you usually hear in enka, which is refreshing. Nice harmonization and moody style of singing.

Title: Blind Justice
Artist: Zektbach
Description: Recently I went through this huuuge "aristocratic" music phase, and this is one of the songs that frequented my playlist. Strong female vocals go well with the dark, melacholic melody. The tempo of the song also alternates throughout, going from slow to a more upbeat pace and back again. A really pretty song, despite the Engrish lyrics.

Title: Jigoku no Mon
Artist: ALI PROJECT
Description: The newest single released by ALI PROJECT, and also used as the ending for the Phantom anime. The orchestra instruments used and Arika's vocals give this song an operatic feel. The ancient Chinese theme used in their PV was pretty nifty, as well.

Title: Shoujou 3 ~ XXX Shou
Artist: Raphael
Description: Hello, old-school visual-kei! I think this sounds different from other Raphael songs, but this is also one of my favourites. More rock than usual, with catchy guitars (especially after the solo) and an awesome bass solo halfway through. Yuki's vocals really grow on you too, after awhile.
